State Tourism Conference coming to Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash.-Washington’s tourism industry will hold its conference for professionals from across the state, October 24-25 at the Yakima Convention Center.

The conference is hosted by the State of Washington Tourism and will be an opportunity for the industry to meet and plan.

After the conference, the Responsible Outdoor Travel Summit will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, from legislators and land managers to content creators in travel, outdoor recreation and conservation in Yakima.

The summit will focus on the role of responsible travel in protecting Washington’s ecologically and culturally sensitive assets and enhancing traveler and host experiences.

The State of Washington Tourism Conference will include presentations and panel discussions on the following topics.

How generative AI is transforming marketing plans.The power of welcoming.Native tourism.Business growth through marketing.Agritourism.Emerging trends in social media.DMO marketing on a small budget.Community partnerships.

The Responsible Outdoor Travel Summit will feature panel discussions and presentations on the following topics:

Public lands.Destination stewardship.Promoting recreation in the era of responsibility.Representation in outdoor recreation.
