Tri-Cities Marathon returns for first time since COVID

Tri-Cities, Wash. — Just over a hundred runners gather at the starting line in Richland for the Tri-Cities Marathon. The last time runners gathered around was before the COVID-19 Pandemic.

A chilly start to the race with the sun coming over the horizon as runners set their marks Sunday morning.

The starting/finish line is at the Riverfront Hotel in Richland, however the marathon map shows runners going throughout Pasco and Kennewick as well.

This wasn’t only a half marathon, for those that wanted less of a challenge, they were able to participate in a half marathon and relay race which also took you throughout the Tri-Cities.

Most of the course uses the scenic trail along the Columbia River.

Those who participated in the event are able to check their final times and rankings through the QR code provided or checking the race website.

Fees, further information and other races can be found on the RunSignUp website.
