YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-One person was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash about nine miles north of Wapato on the morning of October 23.
According to the WSP, a Nissan Xterra travelling westbound on I-82, moving onto exit 44 ran a stop sign and hit a Chevy Equinox driving southbound on Donald Wapato Rd.
The driver of the Xterra then ran from the scene and may be facing charges according to the WSP. The driver of the Equinox, a 55-year-old Moxee woman, was transferred to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital.
