Hanford workers off early due to weather conditions

RICHLAND, Wash.-Non-essential Hanford employees are on an early release schedule due to the weather on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

According to a social media post from the Hanford Site, due to freezing rain in the forecast non-essential Hanford employees North of the Wye Barricade and South of the Wye Barricade, including Richland are being sent home early.

Early release schedule:

200 West Area, WTP, and all Areas South of the Wye Barricade, including employees working in Richland will be released at – 10 a.m.200 East Area and 100 Areas will be released at – 10:30 a.m.

Swing shift is canceled for Jan. 17, however, graveyard shift is on its regular schedule and the Rattlesnake Barricade will be open until 12 p.m.

Essential employees needed to maintain minimum safe operations should follow their normal work schedule.
