Internet safety presentation set for Richland on May 23

RICHLAND, Wash.-The Richland Police Department is hosting an internet safety presentation for families and the community from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on May 23 at the Richland Community Center.

RPD is teaming up with the Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for the presentation aimed to provide the information and resources to help children safely navigate the online world.

The internet plays a large role in modern life, and knowing its risks and safeguarding against potential dangers is important, according to an RPD press release on the presentation.

The presentation will be an interactive and informative session featuring members of the RPD and the SER-ICAC task force designed to address concerns and provide ways to keep kids safe online.
