YAKIMA, Wash.- The Yakima County Health District has reported the first flu death of the season.
According to the Yakima County health district, the individual was between the ages of 30 to 49.
Based on the number of flu tests administered during the week of Nov. 5 to Nov. 11, 2023, 8.6% of tests were positive.
The Yakima Health District is urging individuals to stay up to date on vaccinations to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses this year.
