Let’s taco-bout the Pasco Taco Sprint

PASCO, Wash. — It’s Taco Time! Every year the Pasco Taco Crawl Committee puts events like the Pasco Taco Crawl and the Pasco Taco Sprint together to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties, while showcasing the delicious food Pasco has to offer.

The Pasco Taco Crawl is a week-long event during the spring time leading up to Cinco de Mayo with the community.

In the fall, the Taco Sprint is a one day event with about four to six vendors in a more intimate setting where the vendors can interact with all the usual customers from the taco crawl.

For seven years, the Pasco Taco Crawl Committee has been putting together the event to highlight the many businesses participating, while raising money for the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin County.

The Boys & Girls Club is a youth organization that helps youth in the community throughout Benton and Franklin County.

Brian Ace, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club tells me the club is excited to continue the partnership with the committee. The partnership means money is raised while also helping the community in and outside of the tacos.

He says, “My favorite part whether I’m crawling in the spring or sprinting in the Fall, it’s all about seeing people try things out, engaging in conversation and really creating community around tacos.”

The taco crawl is tomorrow, Saturday, October 14 from 12-7PM at the Pasco Specialty Kitchen in Downtown Pasco.

You can get a punch card which is valid for five tacos online or in person at the committee’s booth. The punch card is only $15 and benefits the Boys & Girls Club.
