Soap for Hope toiletry drive benefits local, statewide nonprofits

BELLEVUE, Wash.-The American Automobile Association’s 15th annual Soap for Hope toiletry drive benefitting nonprofits across the state started on September 1 and runs through October 31.

AAA Washington a provider of auto services, insurance and travel information invites community members and local stores to donate unused hygiene and toiletry products for those in need as part of the drive.

All donations collected will be distributed to nonprofit organizations throughout the state, including Wenatchee, Yakima and the Tri-Cities.

Hygiene products of all sizes, such as soap and body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, shaving cream and razors, hairbrushes and combs for all ages and hair types, menstrual supplies, deodorant, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes will be accepted according to AAA.

The products can be of travel, regular or economy size and must be unopened and unused. A full list of participating nonprofits is available through AAA.
