Driver booked into Benton County jail after hit-and-run in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash.- According to a Facebook post made by the Richland Washington Police Department, a suspect is now in custody following a hit-and-run.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. RPD received reports of a possible DUI and car crash on the 700 block of Symons Street in Richland.

A silver Dodge Ram repeatedly left the road and crashed causing severe damage to three properties in the area.

According to RPD, the driver ran from the crash but was found one block away.

According to RPD, an officer found the crashed Dodge just in time to see where the suspect went.

Officers then arrested the suspect and booked him into Benton County Jail for hit-and-run and DUI.
