SUNNYSIDE, Wash.- Astria Health will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of a new healing garden in Sunnyside on September 28.
According to a press release sent by the Astria Health Communications Director, Teresa Smith, the Sunnyside community is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the year-long landscaping project for Astria Health.
According to Smith, the ribbon-cutting ceremony will include and open house of the cancer center.
The open house aims to teach the community about cancer services offered in Sunnyside.
After the open house community members will be encouraged to explore the new healing garden.
“This event is a very important one. The Healing Garden itself is a permanent reminder of the importance of annual cancer screenings. It was created to provide a space for patients to reflect, relax, and heal, before and after their treatment,” said Brian Gibbons, Chief Executive Officer and President of Astria Sunnyside Hospital.
