The Franklin County Public Hospital District is asking voters for a levy lid lift after seeing a 21 percent increase in calls over the past two years. According to FCPHD 1, the levy lid lift would fund three full-time emergency personnel and renovate the fire station in Connell to add sleeping quarters to allow for faster response times.

If approved, the levy lid lift would be an additional $0.22 per $1,000 of assessed property value and cost the owner of a $200,000 home $44 per year or $3.67 per month according to FCPHD1.
