Tri-City Americans take 11 players in 2024 WHL Prospects Draft

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The 2024 WHL Prospects Draft took place on Thu., May 9 and the Tri-City Americans, holding the third overall pick, landed 11 new prospects, all from Canada.

In the first round, the Ams took defenseman Aden Bouchard from Edge School U15 Prep, followed by center Crew Martinson with the 24th pick from the Red Deer U15 AAA Devils.

The first three picks were dominated by defensemen, with the Everett Silvertips kicking off the draft by taking defenseman Landon DuPoint from Edge School U18 Prep followed by the Prince Albert Raiders taking defenseman Brock Cripps from St. George’s School U15 Prep.
