FINLEY, Wash.-A child is safe after the car they were buckled in was stolen in Pasco.
The child was still buckled in the car when the suspect got in and stole it, according to a social media post from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
The car was then found in Finley and Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies helped Pasco Police locate the vehicle theft/kidnapping suspect nearby. The child was uninjured and is back with their mother.
According to the BCSO, the quick action and collaborative efforts of multiple jurisdictions made the safe outcome of the incident possible.
