Benton Franklin Fair will donate $12,550 for cancer prevention

KENNEWICK, Wash.- The Benton Franklin Fair will donate $12,550 for cancer prevention efforts on Friday.

This donation is part of the Tough Enough to Wear Pink program.

According to the Benton Franklin Fair, the money will be shared with several different healthcare organizations.

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation The Prosser Memorial Hospital Foundation and Grace Clinic.

Anyone attending the Fair and Rodeo is asked to wear pink on Thursday.

“We have made Tough Enough to Wear Pink a core initiative for the Fair, resulting in a healthier population and a heightened awareness about breast cancer prevention,” said Fair Board President Duane Howard. “We appreciate our healthcare partners and all they do for our community and are pleased to make this donation to support their efforts.”
