BENTON CITY, Wash. – A man was arrested following the burglary of a business in Benton City on Wednesday, Jan. 17, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

BCSO says a delivery driver reported the burglary in the area of Ninth Street and Della Avenue. Deputies arrived and found that one business in the area was burglarized and other nearby businesses had evidence of break-in attempts.

Blood was reportedly found in the area of the burglarized business.

Two vehicles in the area were also broken into with one having evidence of someone trying to start the vehicle by manipulating the ignition.

BCSO says security cameras found that a man who was identified earlier by deputies with an unexplained cut on his hand was the suspect.

The man was reportedly arrested without incident.

After an investigation, BCSO reports that a movie projector was stolen from the burglarized business and was likely left somewhere in Benton City.

Anyone with information on the burglary or who knows where the projector is is asked to call BCSO at 509-628-0333 and reference BCSO#24-001497.
