YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Police Department found a kidnapped woman and arrested her alleged captor early Saturday morning following a pursuit and investigation.
YPD responded to a domestic violence situation at a movie theater late Friday night in which officers arrived just as the suspect drove away. A chase ensued but was later called off due to extreme speeds and public endangerment.
Additional information was collected following the pursuit and it was discovered that a woman had been kidnapped and was in the vehicle with the suspect.
YPD later found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned which officers impounded.
The two were found later that night near 2 a.m. The woman is safe and the man is in police custody.
