Tri-Cities tourism showcase brings in elected officials, community leaders

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Visit Tri-Cities held its 54th Annual Meeting & Tourism Showcase titled “Unexpected, Sometimes Unimaginable” on Wednesday, November 1, bringing more than 400 visitors to the Three Rivers Convention Center.

In the meeting which was attended by elected officials, community leaders and other guests, Visit Tri-Cities announced a new messaging strategy to make it easier to communicate key visitor experiences through experience categories.

The new categories include:

Wine and Vineyard ExperiencesRiver and Recreation ExperiencesHistory and Science ExperiencesEvent and Entertainment ExperiencesSunshine and Open Spaces Experiences

“By packaging our destination experiences like this we make it easier for visitors to connect with the flavor of our destination,” said President and CEO of Visit Tri-Cities Kevin Lewis. “We help them understand what the Tri-Cities are all about, how we are unique, and we help them identify with the activities they’re looking for.”

Lewis also shared news at the meeting that the Tri-Cities is hosting the 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Washington triathlon and the 2024 National Horseshoe Pitching Championships (NHPA).

“Our annual meeting is an incredible opportunity for us to thank our community for their ongoing support, acknowledge key players in the market and share our vision,” said Lewis.
