Three finalists chosen for Ellensburg School District Superintendent

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – According to a press release from the Ellensburg School District, the Board of Directors has chosen three finalists for the position of superintendent.

Each finalist will have the opportunity to visit schools and meet with school administrators, teachers, union representatives, students and staff members.

The community is invited to meet each candidate for a 45-minute interview which will be available via zoom or in person over three separate days.

Each interview will start at 5 p.m. and will be located in the Ida Nason Aronica Elementary gym.

The three finalists are:

Dr. Chris Granger, current Superintendent of the Blaine School District (Interview on Monday Feb. 12)Troy Tornow, current Interim Superintendent of the Ellensburg School Distric (Interview on Tuesday, Feb. 13)Brian Beckley, current Chief Information Officer for the Everett School District (Interview on Wednesday, Feb. 14)

Once all interviews are complete, the Ellensburg School District Board of Directors will initiate an executive session. The board plans to announce the new superintendent at the end of the meeting.
