This Ellensburg Couple spreads holiday cheer in their convertible sleigh

ELLENSBURG, Wash.- This Ellensburg couple spreads holiday cheer each year.

Bill Amo and Debby DeSoer hand wrap more than 600 stuffed animals each year to give away during the holidays.

Lots of the stuffed animals are purchased at garage sales around the area. Debby Says they make sure to wash them so they are always in like-new condition.

This yearly tradition began over 25 years ago in Cle Elum. Bill purchased the sleigh for year-round driving and knew it would be a perfect sleigh.

Bill is also a retired Naval architect.

The couple says they often host gift-wrapping parties to get others involved.

This is a year-long event for Bill and Debby. Debby says wrapping the toys starts as early as February with only a small break during the summer.

The couple gives away these gifts during the month of December leading up to Christmas. doing Christmas story time at the local library and visiting schools in the area.
