SELAH, Wash.- An armed robbery causes school lockdowns in Selah.
According to Yakima County Sheriff’s Office PIO Casey Schilperoot, at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, a robbery occurred at Helm’s Hardware store in Selah.
According to YCSO, a firearm was visible during the robbery.
A request to lockdown nearby schools was sent.
According to YCSO, John Campbell Primary School Selah Middle School, and Selah High School were placed into lockdown at 2:39 p.m.
At 3:05 p.m. the lockdown was lifted according to YCSO.
The robbery suspect has not been arrested.
According to the Selah Police Department, this is an ongoing investigation.
