Power restored for 1,763 Pacific Power customers after crash

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. – UPDATE 6:18 p.m.

According to Pacific Power’s outage map, all affected customers have had their power restored.

UPDATE 4:30 p.m.

According to Pacific Power spokesperson Simon Gutierrez, the power outage is confirmed to have been caused by the I-82 crash.

Gutierrez says power is estimated to be restored at 6:15 p.m., however could take longer.

1,763 Pacific Power customers are without power in Sunnyside due to damaged equipment, according to Pacific Power.

The outage was first reported at 3:04 p.m. Crews are on scene and are working to restore power.

Power is estimated to be restored before 6:30 p.m. The outage is affecting zip codes 98930, 98935 and 98944.

NonStop Local is working to confirm if this outage is connected to the downed power lines on I-82 near Sunnyside.
