Rep. Bruce Chandler stepping down after 13 terms in Washington State Legislature

OLYMPIA, Wash.-State Representative Bruce Chandler announced that he will not seek re-election in 2024 after serving 13 terms.

Elected to the State Legislature in 1998, Chandler, a Republican from Granger, represented the 15th Legislative District in Olympia for the past 26 years.

Chandler was a longtime member of the House Appropriations Committee and will miss his constituents and colleagues, both Republican and Democrat, according to a press release on his decision to not seek re-election from Washington State House Republicans.

Washington’s 15th Legislative District includes parts of Yakima, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Adams Counties.
