One dead after three-car crash east of Pasco

TOUCHET, Wash.- UPDATE: Nov. 14: One person is dead after a three-car crash on SR 12 about eighteen miles east of Pasco.

Six others were injured in the crash near milepost 312 and Oasis Road around 8:54 p.m.

According to the Washington State Patrol a car going east tried to pass another car and hit a car going west head-on. After the initial collision a third car then hit the westbound car from behind.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash according to the WSP and the official cause of the crash is under investigation.

11:14 p.m. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, SR 12 at milepost 312 and Oasis Road is fully blocked in all directions.

The estimated time for reopening is one hour according to WSDOT.
