TOPPENISH, Wash.-At least two people have been confirmed dead after an early morning shooting in Toppenish on October 19 according to NonStop Local’s Cristian Garza, who is on scene.
Police are currently investigating the shooting on the 200 block of Pearne St. Toppenish Police, Yakama Nation Tribal Police and the Yakama County Sheriff’s Office are all on scene.
Reports of the shooting came in around 5:00 a.m. The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there is more than one gunshot victim.
According to Toppenish Police Sergeant Venderhoof that is all the information that is known and that will be released at this time.
There are unverified social media accounts of the number of victims in this developing situation, however, NonStop Local will not report on the number of victims without first confirming with the investigating law enforcement agencies.
