KENNEWICK, Wash.-A local rehabilitation facility has been named a “High Performing Post Acute Care Provider Network” by all three Tri-Cities area hospitals.

Regency Canyon Lakes Rehabilitation and Nursing Center achieved the designation from Trios, Kadlec and Lourdes hospitals.

As a “high performing” provider, Regency is eligible for a waiver that will allow hospitals to discharge Medicare patients to the facility without a qualifying stay of three nights in a hospital.

According to Regency, the waiver will reduce the burden on local hospitals when they have a high number of patients needing care.

Offering nursing, rehabilitation therapy, long-term care and respite care, Regency has also been named a “Best Nursing Home of 2024” by U.S. News and World Reports.

Regency has recently increased its Nursing and CNA staff to decrease patient-to-staff ratios. The increase in staff is aimed to allow for a high level of care for patients coming from the hospital, while decreasing employee burnout, according to the facility.

“Our entire staff is the key to our success,” said Parker Rieckelman, Regency Administrator. “Kitchen, laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, social services, therapy, office managers, admissions, medical records, nurses, and CNA’s that work here maintain the utmost commitment to providing the best service to our patients.”

Regency accepts Medicare and Medicaid and has also received five stars from Medicare’s Nursing Home Compares website.
