I-90 westbound reopened after crash near Cle Elum

CLE ELUM, Wash.-UPDATE. The exit ramp to Oaks Ave in Cle Elum in the westbound lane of I-90 is reopened for traffic.

According to the Washington Department of Transportation, the crash near milepost 84 has been cleared.

The exit ramp to Oaks Ave in Cle Elum is currently blocked due to a collision in the westbound lanes at milepost 84.

According to the Washington Department of Transportation there is no estimated timetable for when the roadway will be reopened. Drivers in the area are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible.

Both directions of I-90 are reduced to one lane from milepost 83 to milepost 84 for work on the bridge deck in the area from 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, until Thursday, Dec. 21 at noon, according to Transportation.

It is unknown if the roadway being reduced to one lane was a factor in the crash, but drivers are being advised to be aware of the conditions and their surroundings when driving.
