YAKIMA, Wash. – A project between 3rd Avenue and 16th Avenue on Nob Hill Boulevard will impact traffic and intermittently require drivers to use detours starting Mon., April 29, according to the City of Yakima.

The grinding and overlay paving project will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. The section of the road will have flaggers on site and will be impacted until late summer.

The project involves removing old asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. The City says this will improve drivability and safety.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes if possible until project completion. Drivers are reminded that the speed limit in work zones in Yakima is 20 mph.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained by the City. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through project areas.
