Freezing overnight temperatures causes warming shelter opening in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – With temperatures reaching lows of 26 and 24 degrees on Thursday and Friday, the First Congregational Church of Walla Walla is offering the community an overnight warming shelter for those that need it, according to the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health.

The warming center, located at 73 S. Palouse St. in Walla Walla, will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on both Thu., Feb. 15 and Fri., Feb. 16.

Daytime warming options are also available in Walla Walla for those who need it:
