YAKIMA, Wash. – Fire crews are fighting a wildfire at Harlan Landing north of Yakima, according to Selah Fire Chief Jim Lange.

Lange says the fire is estimated to be over 100 acres in size and is difficult for crews to access due to it being on a hillside. Air support was called to help control the fire.

As a result, nearly 14,000 Yakima and Selah residents experienced a power outage, according to Pacific Power. Power has since been almost completely restored.

A firefighter is being treated for heat-related injuries. No homes are being threatened and no evacuations are expected, according to Lange.

The cause is currently unknown.
