RICHLAND, Wash. — Rangers with the Manhattan Project National Historical Park and Whitman Mission National Historic Site have teamed up for a historical tour up Candy Mountain.

The guided, 3.6-mile round-trip hike will take participants through a tour of time with stories of the early Indigenous communities, early explorers, settlers and their lasting legacies.

Those interested have the opportunity to attend the last event of the year on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. No registration is necessary.

The hike up Candy Mountain is considered moderate with narrow dirt trials.
