YAKIMA, Wash. – The East Valley School District (EVSD) announced on Wednesday that construction is starting on Thursday for a cafeteria expansion project at East Valley Central Middle School (EVC).
EVSD says drop off and pickup locations will not be impacted by the construction. Visitor parking is located in the main parking lot and at the high school and EVSD requests for parents to not use the visitor lots for drop off or pickup.
Event parking is located at the baseball field and on the side of the auxiliary gym. Gym entrances for events are the normal auxiliary gym doors and the single door behind the main gym.
EVSD says ADA parking during school hours will be behind the district office. ADA parking for after school events will be behind EVC and accessible from the bus lane.
EVC administration says the project should not affect day-to-day operations apart from alternative parking locations.
