RICHLAND, Wash. – Bus riders new and old in the Tri-Cities can travel for free on Mon., April 22 via the Ben Franklin Transit in celebration of Earth Day.
BFT says in a press release that public transportation reduces air pollution, leads to clearer skies and healthier communities, improves road congestion and makes for easier community mobility.
“We hope to encourage people who haven’t used BFT services to ride with us by offering free fares on Earth Day,” said BFT Interim General Manager Sarah Funk.
Riders are invited to download the Transit app or MyRide app to plan their free trips.
