Authors will discuss tricky STEM topics at Kennewick Library

KENNEWICK, Wash.-Two authors are presenting an event for parents on how to address tricky topics for kids through STEM at the Kennewick Library on October 25 at 6:00 p.m.

Award-winning authors Bethany Barton and Katherine Roy plan an informative night out event for parents where they will discuss how to discuss challenging topics with kids through facts and science communication tools.

Barton, the author of “I’m Trying to Love Germs” and Roy, author of “Making More: How Life Begins” will discuss how parents can reach kids with facts, while cultivating natural curiosity.

According to Roy, the event is meant to bring people in and teach parents how to use science communication tools to tackle tricky topics with kids in safe, fun, and age appropriate ways.

The Kennewick Library is located at 1620 S. Union St. in Kennewick. The event will feature refreshments and book giveaways.
