Newhouse files for re-election in fourth Congressional district

YAKIMA, Wash.-Rep. Dan Newhouse filed for re-election to Congress from Washington’s fourth Congressional district.

Rep. Newhouse, a member of Congress since 2015, will face challenges from Jerrod Sessler and Tiffany Smiley, who announced her candidacy on May 6.

Rep. Newhouse released a statement after filing for re-election, which read in part:

“We live in challenging times when strong leaders are needed to ensure a safe and prosperous future for our children and our nation. I am humbled by the honor of representing Central Washington in Congress, and I look forward to continuing this important work.”
