YVC sees surge in fall quarter enrollment

YAKIMA, Wash.- Yakima Valley College has seen a fall quarter surge in enrollment as students continue to head back to the classroom post-Pandemic.

According to YVC the total enrollment for the quarter across all of its campuses (Yakima, Grandview, Ellensburg and Toppenish) for fall quarter is 4,164, a 7.2 percent increase over the fall quarter of 2022.

“Our faculty and staff have put tremendous efforts into meeting the needs of our students throughout their educational journey, and in particular the many first-generation and Hispanic students we serve,” said YVC President Linda Kaminski.

Enrollment numbers are taken after the tenth day of classes and are subject to change throughout the quarter.

According to YVC the uptick in enrollment can be seen across all of its programs from full-time students, college and career readiness programs, new bachelor and certificate programs and the running start program.
