YAKIMA, Wash.-The 2024 irrigation season for most residential and business customers in Yakima is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 1.
“It’s a good idea for people to spend some time now preparing for the start of the irrigation season,” said Irrigation Supervisor Rich Sanislo. “If they need to make repairs to the pipes that are on their property, now is the right time to do that.”
All customers served by the Yakima water/irrigation division are expected to have irrigation by April 8, with the season running until mid-October, according to the City.
