Yakima-Morelia sister city anniversary celebration set for April 6

YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on April 6th with its annual Noche de Agave tequila and mezcal tasting, dinner and silent auction.

The anniversary celebration will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Harman Center at 101 N. 65th Avenue. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased from Y-MSCA board members or online.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the community programs of The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association, a nonprofit that promotes diversity and culture in Yakima.

According to a Y-MSCA press release, the organization promotes social, cultural, artistic, economic and educational interaction between the people of Yakima and Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico.

The celebration will include dinner, music, folkloric dancers from Davis High School.
