YAKIMA, Wash.-Paid parking at the Yakima Airport will resume on November 1 and other upgrades are coming in the next few weeks.
Parking will be $2 per two-hour increment or $15 per day effective Nov. 1. According to a City of Yakima press release on the resumption of paid parking, payment will only be accepted via credit card at a kiosk in the breezeway.
In the coming weeks the airport is expected to expand parking payment options, including Text2Pay, the Park Smarter App and a QR code.
The Yakima Airport also recently added new food and drink options at the airport thanks to responses from a poll the City of Yakima conducted in August and September.
A new charging station for customers to use was recently installed and two Alaska Airlines daily flights between Yakima and Seattle will resume on November 17.
