YAKIMA, Wash. – According to a press release from the Yakima Police Department, on February 23 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the residence of a woman on the 900 block of South Naches Avenue.
According to YPD, the resident had not been seen or heard from by family members for multiple days.
After officers gained entry, the woman was found dead inside the residence. According to the press release, the victim was found with apparent signs of trauma.
Yakima Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit will be handling this ongoing homicide investigation.
