Volunteer hosts needed this summer at Boulder Cave near Naches

WENATCHEE, Wash.-The Forest Service is looking for volunteer hosts to live at the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest’s Boulder Cave Day Use area near Naches.

Volunteer hosts are needed to assist with greeting visitors and validating reservations from about Memorial Day to Labor Day, according to the Forest Service.

Other hosting duties include cleaning bathrooms and general areas, blowing debris off paved trails and pathways, ensuring visitors follow regulations, and making sure people do not enter the site once it closes each day.

“We are looking for people who are friendly, cooperative, and like to help others,” said Recreation Management Specialist Janie Pardo.

Volunteer Hosts must be 18 years of age or older and supply their own camper, trailer or recreational vehicle and will have access to free firewood, water, garbage dumpsters and Volunteer Host clothing, according to the Forest Service.

Applications to be a volunteer host may be filled out online.
