Tree trimming, water line work to impact Yakima traffic on April 22 and 23

YAKIMA, Wash.-Two separate projects will impact traffic on stretches of two busy Yakima streets on April 22 and 23.

On Monday, April 22, Chestnut Avenue will be closed from 4th Street to Naches Avenue for a tree removal and trimming project, according to the City of Yakima.

The closure is expected to last from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., however, access to properties in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions for water line work on Nob Hill Boulevard between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenues on Tuesday, April 23.

According to the City, drivers should expect delays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will have access to the area.
