Traffic revision will make Sunnyside’s Spaulding Avenue a one-way street

SUNNYSIDE, Wash.-The City of Sunnyside is advising residents of a traffic revision to Spaulding Avenue that goes into effect on Friday, March 1.

Spaulding Avenue will become a permanent one-way street from Rossier Street to S. 1st Street.

According to a City of Sunnyside social media post, the traffic revision is being done due to the fact that Spaulding Avenue is not wide enough for two-way traffic and functions mainly as a local access route with limited traffic.

The Sunnyside City Council approved the revision and signs will be posted notifying drivers of the revision to one-way traffic.

Updates on the project will be regularly posted by the City of Sunnyside and anyone with any questions or concerns can contact Public Works Director Raul Sanchez at 509-837-5399.
