Three Rivers Therapy will host an open house for new peer respite center in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.- Three Rivers Therapy will open Washington’s first peer respite center.

Peer Respite is a non-clinical home-like alternative to inpatient units and ER psychiatric care according to Three Rivers Therapy.

Anyone who decides to use the center can stay up to seven days with the ability to come and go for work or other essential needs.

The Three Rivers respite will be fully peer-operated. Those running the facility will utilize their lived experiences to assist those in the respite.

Recovery and wellness education will be available to those staying in the facility.

Other services will include community resource connections and solution planning.

The Peer Respite aims to assist insured individuals who may be experiencing a mental health crisis but don’t meet the criteria for an inpatient facility.

Three Rivers Therapy invites anyone who would like to learn more about to facility to attend an open house on Oct. 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The open house will be located at the peer respite center at 10505 West Clearwater Avenue, Building D, Kennewick, Washington.
