Suspect in August 2023 murder arrested following pursuit across Tri-Cities

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – A 25-year-old murder suspect was arrested on Thu., Feb. 29 following a pursuit across the Tri-Cities, according to a press release from the Kennewick Police Department.

KPD says that officers responded to the 2600 block of West Sixth Avenue on Aug. 5, 2023 for a report of a shooting. Officers found a man, later identified as 36-year-old Daniel Bueno, with a gunshot wound.

Bueno was brought to an area hospital where he later died, according to police.

On Feb. 29, detectives found the female suspect in the 400 block of South Conway Street in Kennewick. Officers developed a probable cause to arrest her after a separate incident from the night before where she allegedly threatened to kill another person.

KPD says the suspect fled in a vehicle and officers pursued her through Pasco and into Richland where she crashed.

A 39-year-old man who was reportedly driving the vehicle was arrested along with the suspect after the crash.

The woman was booked for second degree murder, felony harassment and attempting to elude. The man was also booked on charges for rendering criminal assistance and attempting to elude.
