Stolen car starts brush fire in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- According to a Facebook post made by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, a car fire quickly turned into a brush fire.

According to BCSO, deputies responded to assist Benton County Fire Department firefighters with a reported car that caught fire and spread to brush nearby.

The fire was in the area of Snipes Road and Crosby Road in Benton County.

The truck that caught fire was abandoned. BCSO confirmed with the Pasco Police Department that the truck had been reported stolen.

According to BCSO, the fire was contained quickly and the truck was taken from the scene.
