Steptoe reopened after single-car crash that injured three in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. – UPDATE. Steptoe is now fully reopened after a crash on the night of Feb. 17.

The road was closed for several hours after a car left the road and hit a tree and cinderblock wall.

According to Richland Police, the car came to a stop on its top and the engine broke loose, stopping about 100 feet away from the car.

All three of the people in the car were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

5:20 p.m.

According to Richland PD, one northbound lane has been reopened.

Southbound Steptoe Street may remain completely blocked for several hours.

According to a post from the Richland Police Department, Police are responding to a serious single vehicle blocking collision on Steptoe street between Gage Blvd and Center Parkway.

Both lanes are currently blocked with one set of lanes blocked by the engine from the car involved.

Kennewick Police are also assisting with traffic control.

According to the post from RPD, speed appears to be a factor in this collision.
