Several crashes impacting traffic in Wenatchee area

WENATCHEE, Wash. – UPDATE 5:02 p.m.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeremy Weber, the semi truck crash is now cleared, however WSP is responding to several crashes in the greater Wenatchee area.

Weber says there are at least ten crashes in the area, each caused by traffic, weather and poor road conditions.

Most crashes reportedly involve one car driving off the roadway, however a few are bad enough that towing is required.

Weber advises for drivers to stay home if driving isn’t necessary.

A crash involving a semi truck along with other crashes is blocking SR 97 near Ruby Creek according to the Washington State Patrol.

WSP asks drivers to avoid the area.
