Screech at the REACH: a Halloween tradition continues

RICHLAND, Wash.-The 10th Annual Screech at the REACH is Friday, October 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the REACH Museum.

The museum’s Halloween tradition will offer attendees a glimpse into the lives of the nocturnal animals of the Mid-Columbia region, including bats, spiders, owls, wolves and more.

Screech at the REACH will feature “special animal guests” and indoor/outdoor activities, including scavenger hunts and crafts according to the museum.

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes of their favorite creatures from the Hanford Reach and will receive a Screech tote bag to collect educational items and take-home activities as they work their way through exhibits.

An after-hours Night Hike will also be held at twilight on the REACH grounds. The hike includes a short outdoor walk under the night sky, with several interactive activity stops and the possibility of stargazing according to the museum.

REACH members are invited to early access to Screech at the REACH from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. General admission prices apply for non-members attending the event.
