Power fully restored after line downed in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -UPDATE. 1:36 p.m. Power has been fully restored to all customers in the area of US 397 and Finley Rd.

According to Benton PUD, the power is back on for everyone that was affected. Anyone still experiencing electrical problems or outages is encouraged to call 1-888-582-2176 or report through SmartHub.

UPDATE 12:00 p.m.

According to Benton PUD, power has been restored to 598 customers. The estimated time for power restoral for the remaining customers is approximately two hours.

ORIGINAL COVERAGE:

A power outage in the area of Highway 397 and Finley Rd is currently affecting about 690 customers.

According to Benton PUD, the outage is the result of a downed wire that happened around 10:45 a.m. and the power is expected to be restored in about four hours.

The Department of Transportation closed Highway 397 and Morton Rd due to the downed line around 11 a.m. on Dec. 29.
