UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore.- A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car on Highway 395 near milepost 4A.
The driver of a Ford F-150 was driving southbound in the slow lane when the female walked across the unlit, non-crosswalk portion of the highway.
Umatilla County Fire District 1 pronounced her dead at the scene.
Investigation of the scene lasted for roughly 4 hours.
